Fresh Friday | 1 April

Hello there, this week’s Fresh Friday explores the Nicholson Clan heritage and Scottish cuisine.

The Nicholson Clan were crofters on the Isle of Skye for eight hundred years, until the industrial revolution and the British government determined that the land was more valuable, than the people who lived on it. So the Clan after a short war with the British Crown, were dispersed across the world from 1825. The Clan Chief along with many of the clan folk set sail for Tasmania, where Campbell Town became the seat of the Nicholson Clan. These days the Clan Chief John MacNeacail lives just up the coast in Ballina.
